WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The defender posted a series of photos on social media Wednesday as he works his way back from injury Wednesday morning. Among the selections were pictures of him sporting a PSV training top, him running on the pitch and wearing boots with grass clippings covering the cleats.</p><p>In 2023-24, Dest was well on his way to a career year, making 37 appearances across all competitions while scoring two goals and recording seven assists until his injury. The 24-year-old has 33 caps for the U.S., with two goals, and was firmly entrenched as starter under Greg Berhalter, under the past few years. </p><p>Now, with a new manager in Mauricio Pochettino, Dest will be looking to reclaim his spot but faces competition from Joe Scally. </p><p></p>
