U.S. women's national team legend Hope Solo has announced that she is creating and entering her own team into The Soccer Tournament (TST) 2025 this summer in Cary, North Carolina.The 7v7 World Championship event with a $1 million prize <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/tst-announces-women-tournament-expansion-moving-from-eight-team-field-to-16-ahead-of-2025-edition/blt6b65484623d65f5c" target="_self">will sport a 16-team field this summer</a>, double the size from the 2024 event that saw <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/uswnt-heather-o-reilly-leads-us-women-to-usd1m-prize-at-tst-2024/blt6077fcf1e94d1799" target="_self">U.S. legend Heather O'Reilly lead her team to glory in the tournament.</a>Solo, who won two Gold Medals and a FIFA World Cup title with the USWNT, will return to the field with “Solo FC" marking her first return to the pitch in competitive fashion since 2016.

"I am incredibly excited not only to enter Solo FC in The Soccer Tournament but also make my comeback to the field at one of the most exciting events in soccer right now,” Solo said. “TST has done some amazing things to grow the game for women and I’m proud to be a part of it. WHAT SOLO SAID

Solo will be competing against former teammates O'Reilly, Carli Lloyd and Ali Krieger among others in the competition.

TST 2025 returns at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC this June. Men's group play begins June 4-5, and women's group play June 5-6.The Men’s Knockout Round of 32 and Round of 16 matches will both take place on June 6, while quarterfinal and semifinal matches for both events will be played June 7-8.Both the Men's and Women's tournaments will conclude on June 9, with a $1 million prize in each respective bracket being awarded to the competition champions.
