WATCH THE CLIP

<p>City’s Portuguese playmaker flicked the ball towards Adams when being closed down, with the American leaving his hand in the air. Once his outstretched limb was struck, there was only going to be one outcome. Adams protested his innocence, but to no avail.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>He was, however, to be saved as Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa came to his rescue. Haaland looked confident enough as he stepped up, but saw an effort that was drilled towards the bottom corner acrobatically kept out. Adams was able to breath a serious sigh of relief.</p>
