As the news filtered through that PSV were champions, Weghorst could not contain his anger as a cameraperson approached him for a close-up post-match.</p>

<p>The Dutchman's anger is understandable considering the circumstances in which Ajax ceded the title. Their recent form has left fans stunned, winning just one of their final games and eventually missing out on the crown by a single point having held a nine-point lead at one stage.</p>
