<p>Chile international Vidal was sent off for Colo Colo in their 4-0 Copa Libertadores defeat to Racing Club after responding to jeering Argentinian fans with a hand gesture. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Vidal had already been booked when he reacted to the taunting, effectively ending Colo Colo's chances of progression in the Copa Libertadores. The Chilean side have managed only two points from five games so far and can no longer reach the knockout phase.</p>

<p>While Chile did claim shock wins over Argentina in the Copa America during the mid-2010s, Messi and co have since grown into one of the most feared international teams on the planet. La Albiceleste have claimed two Copa America titles since 2021 and were also victorious at the 2022 World Cup.</p>
