<p>Richards was on punditry duty alongside Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane on the CBS panel for the highly-anticipated all-English clash in the final between Tottenham and Manchester United in Bilbao. However, before kick-off, the former Manchester City defender had to leave the studio set - apparently due to an urgent bathroom issue.</p>

WATCH THE CLIP

<p>Carragher promptly addressed Richards' absence with cheeky commentary. Turning to the camera, the Liverpool legend quipped: "People are affected by pressure differently. Now, the man on my left...I mean, it's a big European final. Now the pressure has got to him. The sweat was peeing out of him."</p><p>Keane, known for his no-nonsense demeanour, briefly broke from his stern persona to express concern. "I hope he's okay. Is he okay?" he asked.</p><p>Carragher replied: "I think he is okay. Is he okay?" A voice from behind the scenes reassured the group: "Yeah, he’s okay." That didn't stop Carragher from continuing the banter.</p><p>"I think you can work out for yourself where he probably is right now. What's he having? Imodium?"</p><p>Presenter Anita Jones confirmed the likely remedy with a smile, prompting Carragher to say: "I think that will give you a realising of where he is and what he is doing right now. Will he make the kick-off?"</p>

WHAT CARRAGHER & KEANE SAID

<p>Richards managed to return in time to resume coverage before the match began. Sharing his forecast for the match, Richards predicted a narrow 1-0 victory for United, tipping Bruno Fernandes to assist Casemiro for the game's only goal. Keane, another United loyalist, backed his former club as well, citing their knack for rising to the occasion in major finals.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Despite the strong support for United, the first half saw things unfold differently. Tottenham took the lead through Brennan Johnson, catching the pundits off guard. The winners will be assured of a spot in the next edition of the Champions League.</p>
