<p>Spain star Jenni Hermoso whipped a teasing cross into the box and then team-mate Ovalle buried a remarkable goal into the corner, something she later dubbed "the shrimp". After Tigres won 2-0, the Mexican club stressed she should be shortlisted for FIFA's 2025 Puskas Award (given to the best goal of the year at the Ballon d'Or awards).</p>

<p>After the match, the midfielder said via <a href="https://apnews.com/article/ovalle-mexico-hermoso-golazo-194b652fc28a1c700e85a44e7eb38431" target="_blank">AP</a>: "I don't even know how I did it. I haven't even seen it."</p><p>Although this strike has been referred to as a scorpion goal, Ovalle joked she would call her effort something a bit different.</p><p>"I'll call it the shrimp," she quipped.</p>

WHAT LIZBETH OVALLE SAID

<p>The win saw Tigres leapfrog Guadalajara into fourth in Liga MX Femenil. Ovalle will hope to fire her team to victory again when they face Necaxa on March 7.</p>
