However, ahead of their final game of the campaign, a trip to Manchester United on Sunday, manager Emery gave a terse answer over Martinez's Villa future in an awkward and brief live TV interview.Asked whether the United game will be Martinez's last for the Lions, Emery replied sharply: "No way!"
The TNT Sports reporter followed up by saying: "Definitely not, he's staying at the club?" Emery then added bluntly: "See you later."

Martinez has been linked with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/emi-martinez-offered-man-utd-barcelona-summer-transfer-window-aston-villa-exit-looms/bltf68413599d96096c#cs313b4cf36823fc67" target="_blank">Barcelona, United, and the Saudi Pro League</a> as the Villans reportedly need to make a big sale before June 30 to stay in line with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules. But it seems Emery does not want to lose the 32-year-old, so perhaps a team-mate of Martinez's will be sold instead.
