<p>It had been reported that Barcelona sporting director Deco was the one who had been pushing for the deal for Diaz this summer ahead of Williams; however, Flick is said to prefer the signing of the Spain international, who is younger than the Colombian. However, Deco believes that the signing of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/revealed-why-barcelona-want-luis-diaz-nico-williams-president-joan-laporta-athletic-club/blt6d484b82da1e9bd2" target="_blank">Williams, who is a close friend with a number of Barcelona players, would be detrimental to the squad dynamics</a>.
