<p>Son opened the scoring with a great strike on the counter-attack, as Tottenham broke away from a City corner and worked an opening, from which the South Korea international sent a shot under Ederson who should have done better. However, just minutes later, he inadvertently diverted Erling Haaland's header beyond Guglielmo Vicario.</p>

WATCH THE CLIP

<p>There were just 137 seconds between Son's opening goal and his own goal, becoming the only Premier League player in history to score that duo of goals in the opening ten minutes of a game. The Spurs captain does, however, boast a superb record against City, having scored seven goals in 19 games against the club. </p>

<p>He will hope to put his error behind him and add to his impressive tally against the Premier League champions. Son's own goal was later added to by a fine Man City move finished off by Phil Foden.</p>

Son Heung-min scored both of the opening goals in Tottenham&apos;s clash with Manchester City, with the second an own goal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
