<p>First, Ronaldo collected the ball on the edge of the area in Nassr's AFC Champions League clash with Al-Duhail. Instead of controlling it, however, he flicked a backheel towards Anderson Talisca, who welcomed it in and rifled a shot into the bottom corner.</p><p>Then in the second half, the man widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers to ever lace up a pair of boots scored a superb long-range effort, blasting home from 20 yards to give Nassr a 3-0 lead. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ronaldo has been in superb form for Nassr this season and rolled back the years just three days ago, as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/cristiano-ronaldo-stunning-free-kick-al-nassr/bltcadb0783aa73d1dd" target="_blank">he scored a brilliant free-kick in a 2-1 win over Damac</a>. He has scored 14 goals this season in all competitions, across 13 games.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Nassr have never won the AFC Champions League, with their best-ever finish coming in 1995 when they were beaten finalists. With Ronaldo in the team, they will hope to make history in 2023-24.</p>
