<p>The Manchester United legend's luxury Audi was spotted covered in parking tickets after being left outside a 'posh' hotel in Cheshire for two days, according to <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35246185/wayne-rooney-parking-tickets-hotel/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a>. Rooney did eventually return to the vehicle and was seen removing the fines from the windscreen before finally driving off.</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Rooney has been enjoying some time with his wife and kids over the half-term break. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wayne-rooney-enjoys-family-theme-park-day-out-with-wife-coleen/blt9fde40cbf9995559" target="_blank">Rooney family took a day out at Alton Towers</a> and posted photos on social media showing the family enjoying the rollercoasters at the Staffordshire theme park. Rooney has time on his hands after being <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wayne-rooney-sacked-plymouth-nine-match-winless-run-man-utd-legend-leaves-pilgrims-rock-bottom-championship/blt4d751c637544f4b0" target="_blank">sacked as Plymouth manager</a> at the end of last year, although he has been enjoying some punditry work in the meantime.</p>
