Kaizer Chiefs registered their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/kaizer-chiefs-fire-warning-shots-at-mamelodi-sundowns-with-victory-over-amazulu-to-maintain-impressive-start-to-the-season/bltbe4f5bd1a2f1357e" target="_blank">second consecutive win in the Premier Soccer League</a>&nbsp;when they defeated AmaZulu on Wednesday and the last time they recorded back-to-back wins in the first two games was five years ago. Ranga Chivaviro, Gaston Sirino, and Inacio Miguel scored for the Glamour Boys with Etiosa Ighodaro getting Usuthu's&nbsp;solitary strike.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Despite winning the game 3-1, the Soweto giants struggled after the break, as Usuthu dominated and went on to miss some massive chances. Coach Nasreddine Nabi conceded Amakhosi struggled but promised that it would be worked on."We need to pay tribute to AmaZulu, the whole team, and the coach [Franco Martin],” the Tunisian said after the match.&nbsp; "The first half was very good but in the second half they scored a very quick goal which was hard to maintain a score of 3-1 but we still have very many things to build on but it is still a positive result for us.&nbsp;&nbsp;"We are still learning and keeping our bases, we have a lot of things to build on. We are still very much in the construction phase. We need some time to build on this because it is just the second match."

'CHIEFS ARE STILL LEARNING' - NABI ON POOR SECOND HALF

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gaston Sirino has now managed to get an assist and a goal in his last two matches. The 33-year-old was a constant threat in the final third. Nabi has lauded the South American for his display."He’s a great role model for them and he brings a lot of positive impact on the youngsters," the tactician stated. "He is a good addition, and he also comes back to help defensively. He’s the kind of player we need. I did say I want top-quality players like Sirino."

'I WANT TOP QUALITY LIKE SIRINO'

In the last two games, midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa has not been involved. The Soweto giants were keen on offloading him in the concluded transfer window but their plan did not succeed. What does the future hold for 'Ox'? "We have 32 players, and I’ve got respect for all of them,&nbsp;Mthethwa has particular qualities, and maybe he could start against Sundowns [this weekend]," Nabi clarified.&nbsp;

WHERE IS MTHETHWA?

On Saturday, the Glamour Boys host the PSL defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns. Nabi is convinced the Glamour Boys will deliver. "I would have loved to have more time to prepare the team tactically because the approach is different from AmaZulu."We will give it 200% effort. We’re Kaizer Chiefs. Sundowns is one of the greatest teams on the continent. We respect them, but we play at home," he concluded.
