'May the Wrexham journey continue' - Red Dragons fan favourite sends touching message to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in emotional farewell

<p>On Friday, Wrexham-born player Davies revealed that his time with the Welsh outfit is coming to an end. The 26-year-old, who spent this season on loan at League Two Grimsby Town, said his time at the club has exceeded his wildest dreams, while thanking co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney for "changing the feel around the whole town".</p>

Not in my dreams when I joined back in Covid did I think I’d be leaving here 5 seasons later with it being a Championship club. With unbelievable achievements right along the way. WHAT DAVIES SAID

<p>Davies played 142 games and scored 37 goals for Wrexham as he helped them <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/paul-mullin-wrexham-goal-promotion/blt66187eca5708bee3" target="_blank">win the National League</a> in 2023 and earn promotion to League One in 2024. But following their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-red-dragons-league-one-promotion-hollywood-owners-one-step-premier-league/blt9ad5a36a4ee7a9ef" target="_blank">promotion to the Championship</a>, he is surplus to requirements - which appears to also be the case for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-qa/lists/trouble-wrexham-steven-fletcher-forced-out-rob-mcelhenney-friends/bltfed8e38f71b7557f#cse9ac3f1ece10c38b" target="_blank">team-mate Steven Fletcher</a>. But their contributions in reaching the English second tier will not be forgotten by the fans.</p>
