Port Vale shocked the League One side as they took the lead within 20 seconds from kick-off when Ronan Curtis fired in a shot from inside the box after comfortably going past Sebastian Revan. With the goal, the midfielder became the club's top goalscorer across all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign with eight strikes to his name.Revan made up for his first-half mistake that led to Port Vale's early goal as he set up a perfect ball for Fall to increase his team's tally and ensure their progress into the fourth round of the Football League Trophy.
