There are few things more disrupting to a fantasy team than a serious injury. Sure, poor performances are frustrating but the bad injuries can force you to throw out weeks of planning just to avoid having a blank in your team.
With high-profile injuries at Liverpool, Manchester United, and Everton you may be panicking, but fret not! Below are three players who can replace injured stars in real and fantasy football alike.

The Belgian forward looks set to be called back into Liverpool’s first team following Sadio Mane’s knee injury . Origi has a goal and two assists in the last five matches despite only managing one start over that period but the hope is that an increase in minutes will also mean an increase in goals. If his effort against Everton is any indication, Origi could be a very useful own in the coming weeks.
Eric Bailly (Defender, Manchester United, Price 6.4, Ownership 12.96%)
Both of Manchester United’s starting centre backs picked up injuries for England which has cleared the way for Bailly. Arguably the most talented defender at the club, Bailly has picked up three clean sheets in his last four matches. Manchester United have some pretty tough matches on the horizon but, if you believe in form over fixtures, Bailly would be a terrific addition to your team.
Mason Holgate (Defender, Everton, Price 4.3, Ownership 0.95%)
Unlike the two players mentioned above, Holgate did not have the best of days at the weekend. Everton, who will miss Seamus Coleman and Ramiro Funes Mori for the rest of the season, were torn asunder by rivals Liverpool to the tune of three goals.
Getty ImagesHis track record as a replacement has been quite good this season though with a 66% clean sheet per start rate. Considering the low price/ownership combination, Holgate is a must own through the end of the season.
