Mullin was handed the armband by coach Phil Parkinson and the skipper indeed led by example. He gave Wrexham the lead in the 14th minute with a screamer and even helped out his team-mates by dropping deep on numerous occasions. In one instance, he was spotted throwing his body into the line of the ball, which led McClean to write "f*cking love the dedication lad" on his Instagram story. It was later reposted by Mullin with two laughing emojis from his account.

They are currently on a seven-match unbeaten run across all competitions and Mullin has played a crucial role with four goals and an assist in his nine appearances so far this campaign.
