THE BIGGER PICTURE: Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers became the latest Premier League managers to part ways with their respective clubs when they departed their respective clubs following the last gameweek.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion boss was dismissed as Chelsea manager after only six months at the helm, with the Blues languishing in 11th in the Premier League. His sacking arrived just hours after Rodgers' four-year spell as the Foxes boss came to an end with the 2012 champions flailing in the relegation zone.

With so many sides underachieving this season, a lot of good quality managers have come under scrutiny, even Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool is experiencing a lot of heat at the moment.

As for Guardiola, he has a lot credit in the bank, and sits comfortably on his hotseat for now, however should he end the season without any silverware, the narrative may turn around given the quality of the squad at his disposal.

WHAT NEXT FOR GUARDIOLA'S MAN CITY? A trip to St. Mary's to face relegation-threatened Southampton is next on Manchester City's agenda. They remain eight points adrift of league leaders Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand.

In a big boost, star striker Erling Haaland looks to return this weekend after recovering from a groin injury that has kept the Norwegian out for a number of weeks.
