The Brazil international has been granted an indefinite period of absence by United after disturbing allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavalin. He has not played or trained with the Red Devils since the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on September 3 and had remained in Brazil since it emerged that Greater Manchester Police were making enquiries into one of the alleged attacks against Cavallin.
However, Antony has left Sao Paulo and landed back in Manchester on Tuesday night, just as his side were in Carabao Cup action against Crystal Palace. According to The Times, he is set to meet with police and is willing to aid the investigation into him by handing over his phone.
Cavallin has accused Antony of two separate assaults, while further allegations have come from two more women, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana.
Antony has consistently maintained that he is innocent and has released several statements denying the allegations made against him.
