EA Sports has confirmed that Davide Astori will remain in FIFA 18.
The Fiorentina captain tragically passed away in his sleep at the age of 31 on March 4.
Fiorentina have subsequently mourned their captain, both in public and in private, and won their emotionally-charged return to Serie A action against Benevento.
Astori, like every player across Europe's top leagues, was featured in the latest FIFA release, and EA Sports has now revealed that, after consultation with the club, he will stay in the game.
In FIFA Ultimate Team, where users trade players, Astori will not be available in packs, and his price range has been reduced, meaning he is more affordable for those who wish to have him in their squad.
