VIDEO: Liverpool starlet Brewster scores excellent free-kick for England U-17 side

The Reds teenager opened his account at the U-17 World Cup with a stunning strike from just outside the area as the Three Lions recorded another win

England continued their winning start to the Under-17 World Cup in India with a 3-2 victory over Mexico thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho, as well as an excellent free-kick from Rhian Brewster.

The Liverpool forward opened the scoring for the Three Lions with a rocket from just outside the penalty area, leaving Mexico goalkeeper Cesar Lopez with no chance. The goal is Brewster's first of the tournament, having also started in the 4-0 win against Chile.

Former Chelsea academy prospect Brewster signed for Liverpool two years ago and has already broken into the Reds' U-23 panel at the age of 17.

Sancho's strike against Mexico brings his tally for the tournament to three goals, with Borussia Dortmund having released him for the group stage only due to club commitments.

Next Match

He has yet to make his debut for the Bundesliga side following his summer transfer from Manchester City, but having received international clearance, should be ready and available for BVB after international week.

England take on Iraq in their final group game on October 14 before the knockout stage begins on October 16.
