Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne stands among the greatest players in world football.
And it’s been quite a journey for the Belgium international, who had to overcome blips and make a number of tough decisions en route to featuring on the front cover of FIFA 19.
But then, as he told Goal, “Our normal is not normal.”
To make it to the very top of world football requires that little bit more.
After a prestigious rise at Genk and a disappointing stint at Chelsea, the 27-year-old took the Bundesliga by storm before sealing a mega-money return to the Premier League, and now he wants more.

“When you get a bit older, you think more about winning and how the team is doing,” he says. “You become second to that.”
De Bruyne is rarely second-place. “You never expect to get to the stage I am now, to be on the cover of the biggest game in the world,” he admits. “I think I’m doing pretty well.”
