Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is a familiar face on the silver screen, having appeared in numerous adverisements for television and movies.
His latest appearance sees the all-time top goalscorer for United appear alongside Hugh Jackman's 'Wolverine' character in X-Men spinoff Logan.

However, this time, Rooney is not showcasing any of his acting skills. Instead, the special trailer, released on Manchester United's official Twitter account intersperses highlights of Rooney's legendary club career with clips from the upcoming film.

Rooney has previously appeared in the trailer for X-Men Apocalypse, where his attempt at acting was not too well-received.
As a result, it's probably no surprise that 20th Century Fox decided not to use his acting skills in the follow-up!
