Sutton United sub-goalkeeper Wayne Shaw has been labelled a 'hero' and a 'legend' despite not playing a minute of his side's FA Cup game with Arsenal.
The 45-year-old regularly appeared in interviews ahead of the non-league side's clash with the Premier League giants, and further pencilled his name into history with his performance during the 2-0 defeat to the Gunners.
Before the game, Shaw was photographed hoovering the dugouts, while he visited the bar at half-time, and then was seen eating a pie on live television.
Shaw's escapades on the sidelines earned him the adoration of football fans online, with hundreds calling him a legend.
Sutton knocked out Leeds United and Cheltenham to reach the last 16 for the first time in their history.
